    Game Clock Empty Game Clock

What does everyone think of the 7 minute quarters with accelerated clock? I was thinking of making it 8 minute quarters or something but didnt know what everyone would think of that. I personally dont care either way we could ratchet all the way to 10 minutes if thats what the group wants. Just let me know what you think and we'll go from there. Thanks.

In my last game, 7 minutes went WAY too fast with the accelerated clock. So I would be in favor of 8 or 10.

if your going to do that you might as well just do 7 minutes with no accelerated game clock.

In my last game I only had the ball for 2:31 of the 28:00 and with accelerated clock it wasnt much. Despite that, I'd like to keep the clock as is to keep it consistent with online and madden challenge play. People are still scoring over 40 points in some games and a 14-7 score is very realistic when two running teams play.

i like the accelerated because the players dont get as tired because they are getting the additional 15 seconds rest each play, and you dont have to wait for it. Sounds like it will stay as is.

Definitely make the games longer... either by adding minutes, or getting rid of the accelerated clock. Both my games so far seemed to be over in a blink.

no way dude... these games are to quick as it is... 4 minutes would be rediculously fast... that would give each team 5 possesions, at the very most, a game!!!

players getting tired is more realistic... and also gives other players who wouldn't usually get playing time, get reps, so thier ratings dont go down at the end of the year... also like the fact of having to use TO's to refresh some players... again, more realistic.

I mean honestly... in reality, is A.Peterson going to get every handoff in the game even after 2 back to back 60 yard runs??? ... or is 360 pound DT K.Jenkins or 350 pound DT A.Haynesworth going to get every defensive snap of the game... no way! I think besides making the games more realistic, it evens the plating ground out a bit to. Yeah, I'd do away with the accelerated clock JMO.

i was kidding about the 4 minute quarters. i would like no accelerated clock either. 7-10 minutes of normal clock would be fine with me. games would take longer though.

If i am getting players tired i am just going to call plays more slowly and have to wait for the clock to tick down, as opposed to having it tick down fast by being accelerated.

Is there an 8 minute option? I think 8 mins w/ accelerated clock would make for a happy median. The game would be almost an extra qtr longer. I say we try it out and if its still too short then we could try 9 mins.
